The 色中色 Upward Bound programs provide academic support to improve the educational skills of local high school students attending the target schools. The main goal of the project is to improve the educational performance of students from low-income households and students who are potential first-generation college students. The project will provide the skills and motivation necessary for success at a community college or university. Students must be currently in the 9 th or 10 th grade to enroll in the Upward Bound program.
Participants receive instruction and tutoring in science, literature, composition, mathematics, study skills, and other subjects necessary for success in education beyond high school. Services and activities are scheduled after school, on Saturdays, and during the Summer Bridge and Summer Academy programs. Students need to be committed to participate in our engaging and empowering weekly project activities. The student is expected to participate in the Upward Bound program until they graduate from high school and enroll in college.
