Eligibility requirements

 

Become a MESA Student (MUST meet all):

  • Declare a calculus-based major in Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Geology, Math, Physics, Pre-Engineering, and General Science. 
  • Plan to transfer to a 4-year institution (must not already have a bachelor’s) 
  • 1st generation college student (parents do not have a bachelor’s or higher) 
  • Demonstrate a financial need (Are receiving fee waiver and/or financial aid/Pell-grant) 
 

What is ASEM?

  • ASEM students are "Friends of MESA". This allows students who are not fully eligible MESA students to participate in all MESA programming. The only limitation is we are not able to fund or provide stipends.  
  • ASEM students must meet the first two MESA eligibility requirements. 
  • Sponsorships and other funding.
